Skin-Calming Face WashNow that the cool, fall weather is setting in, you may start enjoying oatmeal for breakfast. But did you know the yummy hot cereal (with all the toppings!) can actually be made into a facial cleanser that can help reduce redness and irritation caused by the changing seasons? Here’s what you need:

1 cup milk
1/2 cup dried oatmeal
1 Tbs. honey
3 Tbs. brown sugar

Simply combine all the ingredients in a large bowl until creamy, then massage onto damp skin for 10 seconds and rinse. (The mix can be refrigerated in a resealable container for up to 5 days.)

How it works: The coarseness of the oatmeal works as an exfoliant to remove dead skin while its anti-inflammatory avenanthramides help calm the skin to reduce redness. Plus, the antimicrobial honey disinfects and the milk’s lipids soothe and moisturize. The result: skin that’s soft, even-toned and stunning!
